Hieroglyphics by Happenchance: A Sanctuary

Peace is not impossible
In a land of fantasy;
Of paint, lines and words.

Peace is not impossible
If you believe in everything;
Yourself and themselves.

Peace is not impossible
If no one is desperate;
If we all have our stomachs filled.

Peace is not impossible
If we were all the same;
Alas, we are not.

One of the most beautiful and almost-impossible things to achieve in Utopia, the perfect world, is this condition - peace. What is peace? I believe that as we mature, we start to search for certain things in life that we may never achieve in our lifetime. This appears to be one of them.

My idea of peace lies in the heart. A secret hideout where people can choose to completely shut themselves out from the world, be it for five minutes or fifty years. It is a place where a person can temporarily disconnect themselves from the complicated, bustling web of life.

As I grow, I no longer see this blog as a mere publishing tool; it is also an important part of my life, where I can choose to retreat temporarily from the real world and express myself without the fear of meeting a particular deadline.

I like to think that time is forever once I start blogging and this magical spell ends when I stop.

I hope one day, I do achieve inner peace.

Hieroglyphics, by Happenchance, a Sanctuary of its own.
